These terms govern your use of mysite-name's wedding dress hire services in England. Please read them carefully before making a reservation to ensure a clear understanding of our services, customer responsibilities, and the hire process.
1. Service Agreement
By making a reservation with mysite-name—whether through our website, telephone, or in-person appointment—you agree to these terms. Our dress hire services comply with relevant UK regulations including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and industry standards for bridal wear.
We specialize in providing quality wedding dress hire through our curated collection of designer gowns across England, ensuring beautiful options for various wedding styles.
2. Dress Hire Services and Collection
Our wedding dress hire services include consultation appointments, dress selection, fitting sessions, and necessary alterations. We work with experienced bridal specialists who provide personal guidance throughout your dress selection journey.
We reserve the right to substitute dresses of similar style and quality if specific gowns become unavailable due to maintenance, damage from previous hires, or unforeseen circumstances.
3. Customer Responsibilities
To ensure successful dress hire, customers agree to:
- Provide accurate body measurements and attend fitting appointments
- Communicate any pre-existing conditions that may affect dress wear
- Handle hired dresses with care and follow provided care instructions
- Return dresses by agreed date and in the condition received
- Notify us immediately of any accidents or damage to the dress
Proper communication and care help maintain dress quality for future brides.
4. Reservation and Payment Terms
Reservations are confirmed upon receipt of deposit or full payment. We require a non-refundable deposit at time of booking, with balance due before dress collection. We accept bank transfers, major credit cards, and wedding payment plans.
Prices are quoted in British pounds and include standard hire period and basic alterations. Additional charges may apply for premium dresses, complex alterations, or extended hire periods.
5. Fitting and Alteration Process
We recommend scheduling your first fitting 2-3 months before your wedding date. Most dresses require 1-2 fitting sessions to achieve perfect fit. Complex alterations may require additional time and incur extra charges.
While we strive for perfect fit, some dress styles may have limitations regarding alterations. Our specialists will advise on realistic alteration possibilities during your consultation.
6. Hire Period and Collection
Standard hire period is 4 days, covering collection 1-2 days before your wedding and return 1-2 days after. Extended hire periods are available for destination weddings or special circumstances with advance notice.
Dresses must be collected by the customer or authorised representative. We provide detailed care instructions and garment bags for safe transportation.
7. Peak Season and Availability
During peak wedding seasons (May-September), we recommend booking appointments 6-9 months in advance. Popular dress styles may have limited availability during busy periods, and early reservation is advised.
Saturday appointments carry a premium booking fee due to high demand. We offer discounted rates for mid-week appointments throughout the year.
8. Dress Condition and Quality Assurance
All dresses undergo professional cleaning and inspection between hires. We maintain high standards of dress care and repair minor wear and tear as part of our service. Each dress is steamed and prepared before collection.
While we ensure excellent condition, some vintage or delicate dresses may show slight signs of previous wear that do not affect appearance or photography.
9. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Reservations may be cancelled up to 8 weeks before the hire date with partial refund excluding the non-refundable deposit. Cancellations within 8 weeks of the hire date may incur additional charges based on our ability to re-hire the dress.
For bespoke dress commissions, different cancellation terms apply as fabrics may be ordered specifically for your dress. These terms will be detailed in your bespoke agreement.
10. Damage and Loss Policy
Customers are responsible for hired dresses from collection until return. We offer optional damage waiver coverage for added protection. Without waiver, customers may be liable for repair or replacement costs for damage beyond normal wear.
Normal wear includes light makeup transfer, minor bead loss, or small snags that can be easily repaired. Significant damage includes tears, stains requiring specialist treatment, or missing elements.
11. Intellectual Property
All website content, dress photography, and boutique branding are our intellectual property. This includes dress styling, collection themes, and marketing materials. Customers may not reproduce our dress images for commercial purposes.
Dress designs remain the intellectual property of the original designers and are protected by copyright law.
12. Liability and Service Limitations
We provide quality dress hire services through our specialist team, but cannot guarantee specific emotional responses or perfect weather conditions on your wedding day. Dress fit depends on accurate measurements and may be affected by weight fluctuations.
Our liability is limited to the hire fee paid. We recommend trying the complete wedding day look (including shoes and underwear) during your final fitting.
13. Dispute Resolution
In the event of any dispute, we encourage direct communication to resolve issues amicably. If resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be handled under the laws of England and Wales through the appropriate courts.
